Over the last few years alone, Black Iron dogs have been used in the foundations of many well known breeding programs, and can be found within the pedigrees of many of the highest scoring dogs in North America. While everyone enjoys looking at a big gorgeous dog, our primary focus is producing healthy and functional dogs with a true Boerboel temperament. We work diligently to ensure that we produce Boerboels with the health needed to support the temperament for years to come. Our puppies are raised in our home around small children, are very well socialized, and have been well started on potty training by the time they leave for their new families.

This litter has been very exciting to us. To those that are not familiar, Black Iron Bentley is our young male that outscored our old guy KS Judge, and this breeding pairs Bentley with Black Iron Nelly. Nelly is a Black Iron Keeper(KS Judge son) daughter, out of one of our top producing female Black Iron Tally. Nelly is also a half sister to Black Iron Rizzy! And because of Bentley we also have Black Iron Boston and Quovadis Partner in Crime added into the mix as well:). What do we ultimately expect from this pairing? This is a very exciting pairing for us. Peterbuilt Boerboels had asked to use KS Judge on their female named Africa Zimbie, and we happily agreed and took Conga as a puppy back stud fee. This litter puts Black Iron Riff on Peterbuilt Conga, who is a KS Judge x Africa Zimbie daughter. Riff also goes back on KS Judge through his grand sire Black Iron Tucker, as well as Black Iron Boston. I love the pedigree as the Afrika side brings in new blood, bone, and fabulous pigment!

GORGEOUS, trained 6 month old female now available(She was one of our pick pups to keep back folks!)
Every time I looked at this litter, I consider holding onto someone else because they all keep showing me bits and pieces of what is to come. If I’m right, in time their offspring will speak for themselves and without my words:). We broke our normal protocol and decided to shake things up a bit and do summer babies as opposed to primarily all Winter babies. Several factors went in to that decision, and this pairing was one of them. Seeing’s how KS Judge was 8.5yrs old and is already years past the average retirement age for a male Boerboel, it was the time as breeding naturally was still an option. I am so incredibly thankful that we did, as shortly after this litter was born we lost him to a stupid giant tennis ball that he must have eaten at our campground. When they opened him up to remove it, they found that it had been lodged in his colon for weeks. There are many reasons as to why this particular pairing was important to our program. Judge has already made his mark on the Boerboel breed overall, but this litter was a left behind final and very special gift. For those unaware, KS Judge was the highest appraised SABBS male Boerboel in the world for 7.5 years.
